I currently have a television show under development. Which sounds great. But basically it means this:

“In development” means that some underlying work — a book or an article or a spec screenplay has been bought or optioned and that in the former case a script has been commissioned and is being written, or in the latter case that rewrites are underway and that the project — that is, the “script” is “in development.”

But okay, it’s still alright. Here’s the show concept:

Blockbusters is a sweeping, one-hour crime drama series set in 1950s Chicago that mixes the urban grit of The Wire with the historical glaze of Boardwalk Empire.

You can read more over at Cat’s Eye Media, who are representing the project.
